Auld Lang Syne
This song was originally an old Scottish Folk Song long ago arranged by J. S. Fearis with words by Robert Burns. This arrangement was by The Cable Company in 1911.
Here are the lyrics that we in the U. S. sing at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day:
- Auld Lang Syne Lyrics
- Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
- And never brought to mind?
- Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
- And auld lang syne!
-
- Chorus
- For auld lang syne, my dear,
- For auld lang syne.
- We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
- For auld lang syne.
